Travel Through Time With Bydandy
Book a classroom session with our lovable and educational mascot, Bydandy! He will introduce the 200 years of history of The Gordon Highlanders through the medium of authentic soldier’s uniforms! A great introduction to local heritage, WW1 or WW2.
Suitable age: P1 – P5
Session lasts approx 1hr
£30 per session + Mileage.
 
 
Loan Boxes
 
WW2 Home Front
A collection of artefacts have been selected to give an overview of the Home Front during WW2. These pieces can be handled and used to conduct your very own Museum influenced history lesson in your classroom. The loan boxes contain a variety of objects from Evacuee Gas Mask boxes (Gas Masks NOT included due to Health and safety) to a Homeguard Helmet and an authentic WW2 “Dig for Victory” manual.
 
The loan box also contains:
  • Teachers Notes
  • Class Worksheets
  • Risk Assessment
Suitable age: P6 - P7 but other ages can be tailored for with prior notice. Each box is £10 per 5working days. Loan Boxes must be picked up and dropped off at The Gordon Highlanders Museum reception by the customer.
